Christmas Morning!!

Merry Christmas!

We had so much fun Christmas Day with Macy! She was much more into it this year than last. She got the hang of opening up presents very quickly :) She wanted to open up each entire present (everything had to come out of the box) before moving on to the next one. She kept saying, "Open, Open." Her most favorite present was her kitchen from Santa! She wants to play in it all the time :) She likes to play with all the food. She moves it from the fridge to the counter and then back again to the fridge...over and over and over. The kitchen came with a 120 piece food set...fun fun!! We opened up presents and stockings at our house Christmas morning and then headed to Gigi & Pops for more fun!

On the way to Gigi & Pops!

From this moment on Macy wore her Santa hat all day long!! We couldn't believe it! I guess she was in the spirit!!

We spent the rest of the morning and afternoon at Gigi & Pops with everyone! We had a blast! Macy was loved and (spoiled) with lots of special presents! We hope you shared a very special Christmas with your family, too!

Christmas Eve Pictures

Fun Christmas Weekend!

We started off the Christmas weekend Saturday morning at My Gym where Macy LOVES to play! Jumping on the trampoline is one her favorites!

Jump, Jump, Jump

Daddy, I'm not sure I like this sleigh ride!

Bubbles everywhere!

Waiting for a bubble :)

On Saturday afternoon, we started a new family tradition...Gingerbread Houses! We split into 2 teams and each team made a gingerbread creation!! Travis, Hadley, & Meghan worked on one. My mom, Jaron, and I worked on another team. My Dad played with Macy while we worked on them! It was fun! I have to say....Travis, Hadley, and Meghan's was very creative!! I think they won first place this year!

After the gingerbread houses were finished, we ended the night with driving around like the Grizwalds and checking out Christmas Lights!! We drove through the Deerfield neighborhood where almost the entire neighborhood decorates. Some of the houses' lights dance to music. This year Macy really liked looking at all the lights. She was pointing left and right!

On Sunday afternoon, we made our family cookies, sandtarts. It is a Pennsylvania Dutch recipe that is from our family. Every year we make these cookies as a family. And, yes we ALL have matching shirts on :) That is part of the tradition as well. Everyone has a different part in the cookie making process: making the dough, rolling it, cutting out the cookies, decorating, baking, etc. It is always a great time!

Holiday Lights at Frisco Fire Safety Town

Last night we went to see the Holiday Lights at Frisco Fire Safety Town. We met Daddy there after work. Frisco Fire Safety Town is a miniature town that was very recently built next to our Central Fire Station. It is so cool! It has little houses, post office, stores, restaurants, police station, fire station, traffic lights, toll booths, city hall, and even little jeeps that the kids can ride. It was built for the elementary kids to visit each year to learn about different types of safety like pedestrian, fire, bicycle, etc. I have actually already been there when I taught first grade. We went there to learn about pedestrian safety. At the end, the first graders got to ride around in the little jeeps and practice what they learned. You can probably imagine it was a huge hit! Travis & Macy have never been to see it yet. So, last night was their first time to see how neat it is. For Christmas, the city puts light on all the little buildings. In each building, you can color, make an ornament, get stickers or candy, learn about safety, visit Santa. Macy LOVED it! She ran to each building wanting to know what was in each building. After we had visited each building, she wanted to do it again! She did not want to leave :) One more fun family event to add to our Christmas List!! I took a ton of pictures!! Here are a few...

More Christmas Fun!

Macy & I had a funfilled day yesterday! After running some last minute Christmas errands, we met my sisters for a lunch date. Macy LOVES to hang out with her aunts and be a big girl :)
Much to Macy's excitement, her lunch ended with her very FIRST ice cream cone. She was so excited to get it as you can tell in the pictures. It took her a while to eat it...she took very little licks :)

I love being with her! It is so fun!

Mommy, I think I like ice cream!

Looking sweet

WooHoo...I LOVE Ice Cream!!!!
