Holiday Lights at Frisco Fire Safety Town

Last night we went to see the Holiday Lights at Frisco Fire Safety Town. We met Daddy there after work. Frisco Fire Safety Town is a miniature town that was very recently built next to our Central Fire Station. It is so cool! It has little houses, post office, stores, restaurants, police station, fire station, traffic lights, toll booths, city hall, and even little jeeps that the kids can ride. It was built for the elementary kids to visit each year to learn about different types of safety like pedestrian, fire, bicycle, etc. I have actually already been there when I taught first grade. We went there to learn about pedestrian safety. At the end, the first graders got to ride around in the little jeeps and practice what they learned. You can probably imagine it was a huge hit! Travis & Macy have never been to see it yet. So, last night was their first time to see how neat it is. For Christmas, the city puts light on all the little buildings. In each building, you can color, make an ornament, get stickers or candy, learn about safety, visit Santa. Macy LOVED it! She ran to each building wanting to know what was in each building. After we had visited each building, she wanted to do it again! She did not want to leave :) One more fun family event to add to our Christmas List!! I took a ton of pictures!! Here are a few...
