Macy's Jungle Safari is complete!!! Woohoo!!!!!!!!!!! I must say at the beginning of this project I thought it would take just a couple late nights working on it. Well, it took a LOT of late nights, but it was worth it in the end. I have never really painted anything before, so I had no idea that painting these images on the wall would take so long. I had to go back to Michael's more than once for more paint :) I painted a 7 foot palm tree with a monkey hanging out of it and a cute boy and girl on a safari. I must say the teacher in me came out a little in completing everything perfectly. We had to go to a couple fabric stores before we found the zebra fabric for the curtains and the pillows in the jungle hut. A big thanks to my mom (Gigi) for all her sewing skills. The curtains and pillows turned out great!! I made matching decoupage zebra print letters that say, "Lets Play." Travis made an AWESOME 7 foot jungle hut with a bamboo roof for Macy to crawl up in and read or relax :) She loves it!! He also made toy storage shelves for all her toys. All in all, we're very happy with the way it turned out and I hope everyone enjoys seeing the pictures. I've gotten quite a few emails from friends and family asking when it was going to be finished.
So, here it is......
